Child Safe Policy
Hart&Seek is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children participating in our school incursion workshops. We recognise that children have a right to feel safe and be protected from harm, abuse, and neglect.
Child Protection Responsibilities:
All staff members, volunteers, and contractors have a responsibility to prioritise the safety and welfare of children.
We will ensure that all staff members and volunteers working with children have appropriate qualifications, training, and ongoing support to fulfil their child protection responsibilities.
Code of Conduct:
All staff members, volunteers, and contractors must adhere to a strict code of conduct when working with children, including maintaining appropriate professional boundaries, respecting children's privacy, and refraining from any form of abuse or exploitation.
Risk Management:
We will conduct risk assessments for all activities and environments where children will be present to identify and mitigate potential risks to their safety and well-being.
Any concerns regarding the safety or welfare of a child will be addressed promptly and appropriately, following established reporting procedures.
Reporting and Response:
All staff members, volunteers, and contractors must report any suspicions or allegations of child abuse or neglect to the designated Child Safety Officer or appropriate authorities.
We will respond promptly to all reports of child safety concerns, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and well-being of the child involved.
Review and Continuous Improvement:
This Child Safe Policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices.
Feedback from staff members, volunteers, children, and their families will be sought and considered to inform ongoing improvements to our child safe practices.
Hart&Seek is committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We recognise the importance of maintaining the highest standards of child safety and will continue to prioritise the well-being of all children in our care.
